Wilkinsons of Norwich is a small family firm that has been trading since 1972 from the heart of Norwich.
For many years the retail shop had a small coffee roaster located in the shop's back room. While the whole world goes on about how fresh their coffee is, few can argue that beans roasted mere hours before is as fresh as you’ll ever get it!
This tradition of roasting comparatively small amounts very frequently continues to this day and all their coffees are packaged on site to maintain optimum freshness of the roasted bean.
The use of the Internet as a sales channel is a relatively new development within the long history of the company.

We've been working with Wilkinsons of Norwich to develop the online side of their business.
Our activity has been centered on desgning and developing an e-commerce web site that allows them to sell coffee and tea to customers across the world. To achieve this, we created a web site that aims to represent the sheer pleasure of the product with an easy, simple to use mechanic for online purchase.
The site is powered by our e-commerce solution and supports an extensive product catalogue which is organised and administered by Wilkinson's own staff. Customers can quickly find and review the range of teas and coffees; building a basket of required items as they progress through the site.
New customers can immediately create a shop account and checkout securely with all credit/debit cards payments handled by Worldpay. Order status can be tracked online and the site will automatically generate email confirmation to reflect progress to "shipping".
The back office solution includes a number of sophisticated features for optimising the sales performance of the online channel including the ability to pro-actively target customers who have built but not completed order baskets.
